She stayed stock-still, as they sifted,
Rummaged through her anatomy,Depicted in the sullen shades of gray,
They scowled,
Hatred hemming their steely cold eyes!
A brief deluge of weary, weak sighs,
Bitter remorse, unspoken reproach oozed
From a strained surmise—it’s a girl…
